Growing Greener Communities' mission is to empower communities to make the small changes necessary to achieve a greener future. That mission includes removing the barriers that often prevent community members from making the changes they want to see, for example, the cost of buying and storing the tools used for green stormwater infrastructure projects.
GGC hopes to eliminate that barrier by launching our new Tool Library. Hosted by the Pennsylvania Resources Council, the GGC Tool Library is stocked with shovels, rakes, levels, and other gardening supplies needed to DIY your home’s green stormwater infrastructure.

In order to check out tools, all you need to do is check the tool catalog for availability, fill out the agreement form, and provide a $25 refundable deposit upon pickup. You can borrow any amount of tools for two weeks before you are required to return them or renew their loan. More information about how to borrow tools is available on the Tool Library programs page.
If you’re looking to DIY your home’s GSI but don’t know where to start, be sure to check out the Take Action tab for advice on how to install rain gardens, downspout planters, and more!
